HEALTHY LIVING 1×01
2º ESO B
INTRODUCTION
- PAOLA: Welcome to Radio Pavon. Today I’m here
with some of my favorite people of this high school… Not only because
they’re my students, but also because they are amazing people, funny,
smart, intelligent… Today’s program is about tips and tricks on leading a
healthy lifestyle. I’m your host, Paola, and this is my co-host, Andrea. - ANDREA: And today we have an exciting episode
tailored just for teenagers like you who are looking to live their best,
healthiest lives. Let’s dive in!

SECTION 1:
NUTRITION BASICS
- PAOLA: Alright,
let’s start with the basics. What are some simple tips for teenagers to
maintain a healthy diet? - BEATRIZ: First, you
should follow a varied diet. Also, you have to drink water because it is
important not to dehydrate yourselves. Well, it’s important
to focus on whole foods like fruits, vegetables, proteins, and whole
grains. Finally, try to limit processed foods and sugary drinks. - ANDREA: What about
snacks? Any healthy alternatives for those midday cravings? - VICTORIA:
Absolutely! You can have some snacks like nuts, fruits, yogurt or hummus. They’re
nutritious and satisfying.

PHYSICAL” – Dua Lipa)
SECTION 2:
EXERCISE AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
- PAOLA: Moving on to
exercise, what are some fun ways for teens to stay active? - CLAUDIA: Find
activities you enjoy, whether it’s dancing, swimming, biking, or playing
sports with friends. And remember that you should warm-up before doing any
physical activity. That way, you will avoid injuries. - ANDREA: And what about
team sports? Is that important for teenagers? - VICTORIA: Team
sports help to know people and to be more social with our team. Team work
is based on trust, like when you are playing basket or soccer and you have
to pass the ball to your classmate so that the other team doesn’t steal
the ball.

TAKE IT EASY” – Mika)
SECTION 3:
MENTAL HEALTH AND SELF-CARE
- PAOLA: Now, let’s
talk about mental health. How can teenagers prioritize their well-being? - CLARA: It’s crucial
to practice self-care activities like meditation, journaling, or spending
time outdoors. Also, teens should focus on themselves and they shouldn’t
trust what other people tell them. Leading a healthy life helps us not
only physically but also mentally. - ANDREA: Social media
can be a big part of a teenager’s life. Any advice on maintaining a
healthy relationship with it? - CELIA: Absolutely. Don’t
get into trouble with anyone online and only upload photos and content
that is not too private. You can also limit screen time and remember that
what you see online isn’t always reality.
OUTRO
- PAOLA: And that’s a wrap for today’s episode. Please, stay tuned for part 2 next week if you want to learn more about leading a healthy lifestyle. See you later, alligator!
